Resume:

I am an IT leader that specializes in enterprise architecture and technology innovation. I am looking for a company that will allow me to institute innovative thinking and strategies to promote IT capabilities that will best advance the corporate goals and initiatives.

As part of my enterprise architecture role, I am responsible for establishing a plan-build-run IT organization that allows clear delineation of functions and roles to better improve IT capabilities, turn corporate imperatives into IT goals that will ensure success for both IT and the business as well as meet with business stakeholders to assess their key drivers to determine optimal solutions and introduce new technologies/approaches in order to drive corporate success while maintaining a “leading edge” mentality. I also have responsibilities that include annual planning/budgeting, managing multi-million dollar projects, training, vendor negotiations/management, evangelizing, and collaborating with other IT leaders. I have created/ presented many presentations to our senior leaders to support our enterprise data architecture strategies and visions.

I was responsible for building a data architecture practice that defined architectural/implementation patterns to enable consistent technology, enterprise standards and best practices as well as the strategy, engineering and implementation of the corporate ‘Data Warehousing’ & ‘Reporting and Analytics’ domain. In this role I was instrumental in creating a BI decision tree model for tool selection (‘right tool for the right job’), developing a technical roadmap, creating the architecture/infrastructure, implementing best practices/standards and work across business area to create optimal designs/KPI. I also had responsibilities in the areas of ETL, data quality, and data profiling as well as securing/masking data within the enterprise. Most recently I introduced the use of ‘Big Data’, thus transitioning data into information and business analysts into data scientists. This was achieved by defining how Big Data augments traditional data warehousing concepts along with reducing the per terabyte cost of computing.

I also directed and managed an operational team of database administrators that were located on/off shore. In this role, I was responsible for 24x7 support, lifecycle management, data governance, vulnerability management, DR, change management, performance management, capacity planning and overall strategy.

In addition, I am experienced in other areas of IT such as: infrastructure design/planning/support, creating KPIs to ensure business SLAs are being achieved, securing the infrastructure and data assets, created architectural roadmaps to align with business objectives, determine the best opportunities for the cloud, introduced new technologies/approaches to stay leading edge and discover ways of reducing operational expenses.

Finally, I have been exposed to numerous technologies and vendors while working many years in a Fortune 6 company that has enabled me to have a complete understanding of the functions of IT and what it takes to be successful.
