Summary
I am an educator turned professional counselor and consultant. I offer counseling services across the lifespan to individuals, families, and groups, and specialize in animal-assisted therapy (AAT). I also provide professional development for organizations in the areas of AAT, client-centered practice, and vulnerable populations. My other experiences in behavioral health include recreational therapy, case management, advanced clinical practice, research, supervision, grant writing, and program evaluation. I am looking for employment with an organization where I can employ my skills to help others be well.
Professional Experience

o Offered individual, group, and family therapy across the lifespan as an independent contractor
o Developed trauma-focused, intensive-outpatient program for adults with co-occurring disorders.
Health Educator/Trainer, June 2015 to present, Bayview Behavioral Hospital, a campus of Corpus Christi Medical Center
o Developed and implemented outreach educational programs ranging from 8-40 hours in length for organizations such as hospitals, law enforcement, and school districts.
o Provided training to over 400 community members, mental health professionals, and law enforcement officers on various subject related to community mental health including, child and adolescent development, animal-assisted therapy, severe mental illness, and trauma.
