PROJECT TOPIC

Power Factor Improvement through AVR micro-controller. Abstract: Working model of a simple power factor improvement through static capacitors using AVR micro- controller. The voltage and current are stepped down and fed to comparator circuit. This comparator circuit gives square-wave output. This output is fed to micro-controller and according to programmed algorithms it switches different static capacitors to inject lagging VAR into system which improves power factor of whole system.

SOFTWARES SKILLS

1.) A good command on GUI development using MATLAB and circuit analysis using Simulink, PSPICE

(ORCAD) and MULTISIM 13.0 (National Instruments).

2.) Well versed with programming languages such C, C++, JAVA (Net Beans) and MySQL which helps in developing GUIs.

3.) Completed a certified course in Web Component Development using Java Technologies from NIIT in 2013. ACCOMPLISHMENTS
