Job Description:

Coordinates with QA/QC Engineers.

Inspects the quality of the works at random, based on internal Witness and Hold points, as defined in the ITP’s.

Independently carries out surveillance of the works using appropriate checklists in sensitive points.

Coordinate to client/consultants inspectors for the resolution of site problems.

Coordinate with the site subcontractors to ensure that communication exists and are maintained.

Ensures that work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.

Reviews inspection test packages during the course of construction activities.

Reviews all inspection reports for compliance and ensure that they are accurate and that all attached documents are of current status.

Documents the outcome of their inspections and follows up documentation and/or specified inspection reports.

Prepares non-conformance reports and assists in developing corrective actions.

Completes QC site instructions and coordinates their closure.

Ensure the filing and maintenance of inspection documentation as Quality records, organization charts.

Concrete Checkpoint:

Coordinate to Site Engineer for Daily Concrete Pouring Schedule.

Coordinate to third party laboratory to prepare the check point for receiving and checking of concrete delivered at site.

Coordinate to QC Inspector in-charge on site if area is approved for concreting.

Collect the delivery notes to TM Driver and check if the detail is as per approve mixed design.

To ensure that the third party laboratory is properly checking the concrete delivered on site by taking the concrete temperature and slump test.

To ensure that all concrete specimen is properly handled and cured.

Non-structural Works:

Coordinate to Site Engineer for possible inspection on site.

To ensure that the area is ready and approved by means of sign checklist and approved survey data signed by client representative before conducting Plate Load Test (PLT).

Coordinate to client representative to witness the Plate Load Test (PLT) and to make an inspection for pre concrete.

To ensure the construction team will cure the concreted area by approved material.

To ensure that the Sub contractor Engineer will properly prepared the surface area prior to client representative approval.

To ensure that the Sub contractor are using the approved waterproofing materials and methodology prior to client representative approval.

To check if screed concreting was done before conducting proceed to the next activity.

Utility Works :(Storm Water,TSE,Street Lighting,SSD,ITS,QAF,Qtel lines and Manholes)

Coordinate to Site Engineer for possible inspection on site.

To ensure that the area is ready and collect the survey data signed and approved by client representative surveyor prior to post excavation inspection.

Coordinate to client representative inspector to witness the FDT test conducted by approved third party laboratory.

To ensure that the duct/pipe/manhole is level and from approved supplier and material as per method statement and shop drawings prior to inspection of Duct/Pipe Laying/Manhole installation.

To ensure if the tracer wire and warning tape was installed before backfilling prior the approval of client representative inspector.

To check if the backfilling materials will rich the required density of 95% prior the approval of client representative inspector.
