Project Details
1. “Variable Compression Ratio Test Rig for Two Stroke SI Engine”
(An experiment that shows how to Increase the efficiency of an engine based on VCR Technology)
Tool Used: CATIA v5
Designed adjustable cylinder head to vary the compression ratio of a two stroke SI engine to conduct load test at different compression ratio and the effect of varying compression ratios on various engine performance parameter are plotted and studied and also generated power from the exhaust gas pressure by using impulse turbine installed just after the exhaust.
The project is aimed at the fabrication of experimental setup for our Energy Conversion Laboratory. To make it available for conducting experiment as per the syllabus of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
