I am a Petroleum Engineer with 16 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering and Reservoir Simulation Engineering. I am known for being a proactive professional and achievement oriented. I have strong skills in all the numerical simulation software provided by Schlumberger®, CMG® and Beicip-Franlab®, as well as standard applications of reservoir engineering such as OFM®, MatBAL®. Nowadays I have specialized by performing several workflows to simulate EOR and IOR by Conventional and Chemical Methods from the Lab Scale basis to a Full-field Reservoir Simulation.

Main Skills:

1.Design and perform reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation engineering to recommend the best exploitation strategies of complex reservoirs, with high uncertainty, long production data (100y+) and many completed wells (1000+): Gas Offshore reservoirs, HP/HT reservoirs, Natural Fractured Reservoirs, Heavy oil reservoirs, horizontal wells, deviated wells, smart completion modeling and integrated surface facility to subsurface modeling

2.Design and Perform reservoir simulation and carry out research of several EOR processes such as waterflooding, gas Injection and gas miscible injection, surfactant, alkali, polymer and their combinations, as well as IOR methods such as: Gels, DPR, MPR, by improving the workflows from the basis of Lab Scale to a full-field reservoir simulation by using the following suites: SUITE ECLIPSE (Schlumberger); STARS, IMEX, WINPROP, BUILDER (CMG); Athos or PUMAFLOW (Beicip Franlab); PVTi, SCAL, Pre-Postprocessors: SCHEDULE, GRID, SIMGRID, SIMVIEW, GRAF, OFM.

3.Received specialized training in reservoir simulation of thermal EOR methods (SAGD, HASD, CCS, CIS) and advanced wells modeling (FLEXWELL, FCD) using the CMG suite: STARS, IMEX, WINPROP, BUILDER and CMOST; as well as portfolio management and sensitivity analysis MERAK PEEP, CAPITAL PLANNING and TDK, PETREL RE (Schlumberger) and UTCHEM (Texas AM) which is the reservoir simulator of chemical processes in Lab Scale Basis.

4.Carry out R&D in reservoir simulation in order to evaluate new modeling techniques, tools or technologies (workflows such as history matching, run predictions and computational sciences such as solution methods, formulations and algorithms of: ECLIPSE (Schlumberger), IMEX (CMG), Semiya (PDVSA), PETREL RE (Schlumberger) and PUMAFLOW (Beicip Franlab).

Team Results: • Conduct a multidisciplinary team, • Designed the 1st instrument for portfolios wells • Perform the reservoir study: rate-decline analysis, pressure-production analysis, generate a synthetic PVT, material balance, reserves estimation.

January 2008 – December 2011: Project Leader “Technologies in Reservoir Simulation”.

Team Results: • Two investigations carried out in workflows to simulate ASP as a EOR Scheme • Description of the algorithm and the solution method of the black oil simulator Semiya (Trademark of PDVSA) • Benchmarking study between Semiya (PDVSA), IMEX (CMG) and ECLIPSE 100 (Schlumberger) • Participation as a Consultant in the benchmarking study between PETREL RE ®, Schlumberger and FIRST ® Platform (Beicip Franlab) for PDVSA • Culminated three investigations carried out in oil reservoirs condition to be candidate for EOR-ASP.

Built and perform the first reservoir simulation model for the VLG-3729 Reservoir, Moporo Field, Onshore, Venezuela, as a part of the activity into the project: “Well Intelligent Completions". Use of UNIX, ECLIPSE suites. Black oil model. On Shore Field.

Review of Alternated Vapour Injection on the single-well model for the Baghewala Field, India, Onshore Field and Naturally Fractured Reservoir in agreement between PDVSA and OIL INDIA Ltd. Use of CMG suite. (Thermal model).

Comparison of the results of the reservoir simulation study of the gas re-injection scheme in Rio Caribe Gas Field, Offshore, Venezuela as a part of the activtiy into the technical project "Optimization of the gas re-injection scheme in Rio Caribe Gas Field." •Perform the reservoir simulation of the anticlinal-crest section into the reservoir model in order to predict the response of the wells to the gels treatments. Use of Becip Franlab suites. (Black oil model).

•Reservoir analysis (pressure-production-injection data, select wells to conformance treatments)

•Build and perform the first reservoir simulation model in ECLIPSE (black oil model). (1150 wells, 90 years of oil production). Extensive use of CPS-3 (mapping application) and OFM (Integrated Production Environment), Sclhumberger

•Established the methodology to split reservoir models with long oil production data into sections-reservoir models, applied later in the Cerro Negro Heavy Oil Field operated by Petrocedeño (agreement between PDVSA and Total-Fina).

•Established the methodology for re-build the oil production history between 1920 – 1954 (not available in the data base of pdvsa)

•Designed the instrument to portfolios Wells, reservoir analysis of pressure-production-injection data, reserves estimation.
