As a trusted PM and technical lead independently managed projects in various stages of development and complexity; acted as a change agent towards agile in academic style environment; helped geographically dispersed teams to reduce “head gap” and align towards action making likable products for scientific projects; sorted through cross-team dependencies in Merck’s organizational matrix; organized and moderated discussions between business executives, scientists, outside vendors, and internal IT teams. Among projects managed:

Human Dose - internally developed application that analytically predicts exact dosing regimen in clinical trials significantly reducing time to market; the application grew from Excel tool to the robust web application with sophisticated data import and reporting capability. Challenges: remote development teams changed three times in two years; creating engagement/ownership feeling within Merck teams and contractors; reduction of technical debt.

WebMetabase usage at Merck began in 2015 with one scientist’s initiative and my support. It rapidly grew to creation of a dedicated 15 people group effecting predictions for 600 compounds across 40 Merck programs. Provided expertise with technology design, implementation and rollout.

Modeling & Simulations Workbench project started with a free open source project deployed as prototype in 2010; software grew to a multi-million dollar platform made with help of an outside vendor in 2012.

SolveIt project began with a vendor relationship challenge; as a result of care a successful innovation crowd sourcing platform was born; it united Merck Research and Manufacturing divisions, plus academic partners.

Telemetry project – an example of overall IT investment reduction through an “enhanced” self-service concept, which led to delivering a product that offered >50% reduction in data analysis/reporting time, enabled interrogation of data in new ways, and was completely scalable.
