All my work has been in developing modifications and custom features for Sage 500. After years of working in Net@Work, I attained the role of the Primary Sage 500 Developer. Sage 500 is built upon SQL Server back end and a Visual Basic 6 front end. My accomplishments include:
In SQL Server, created new and modified existing stored procedures and triggers for added Sage 500 database functionality for numerous clients. Coding included import/export routines which interacted with data retrieved from the Web.
Utilized the SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio to create SSIS Packages for FTP and STFP data uploads for various clients. These SSIS Packages were deployed with SQL Server Agent Jobs.
Utilized the SQL Server Profiler to troubleshoot database issues.
Acted as administrator of DataSelf/Tableau, a data warehousing/reporting utility. This was for internal use, to manage Net@Work’s business systems for management reporting.
Developed a library of Crystal Reports for clients, including Invoice and Credit Memo reports.
Utilized Visual Basic 6 to modify existing screens and to add new screens.
The SQL Server and VB6 modifications enabled new accounting functionality in Sage 500. Modules which I modified where Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Order, Purchase Order, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, General Ledger and Cash Management.
