Starting in the lab

Check power level of the batteries for the specific devices and mobile phones on the device or with a volt/ohm meter.

Load test the batteries with a specific tool designed for the device or mobile phone for consistent performance in the field.

Worked with Qualcomm QPST to backup, upload, and restore the configuration of a mobile device or phone.

Inputted the OS to the mobile device or phone using ADB (Android) commands or JTAG Tool.

Wrote the DOS batch scripting file which included ADB commands to push the configuration files.

Wrote test cases and test plans to fit the need of the specific function of the mobile device or phone within a lab or out in the field.

Created the process for putting the build into the mobile device or phone, collecting the data out in the field and within the lab.

Work performed in the Field

Executed the data collection in the field using various proprietary Qualcomm Apps on the devices.

Used data collecting ground truth for GPS signals on equipment such as Applanix, Furuno, NovAtel, Labsat2 and 3 along with proprietary devices.

Used Qualcomm GPS recorder ODLT to collect GPS and WiFi signals.

Configured WiFi devices to open ports to attach mobile devices.

Used Garmin GPS data recoding as another tool for GPS signal comparison.

Used proprietary Apps to collect the data on the mobile devices (Apple, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Qualcomm and Samsung).

Finishing in the lab

Retrieved the data collected from the devices by using DOS batch scripting files which included ADB commands to pull the files.

Converted various data collected files to MS Excel using Qualcomm QXDM diagnosis tool for the engineers to analyze.

Downloaded all necessary files for Applanix through the DMZ server.

Converted various data collected files from Applananix POSTPac software, Furuno conversion software, and Novatel Inertial Explorer to MS Excel tables for the GPS signal.

Converted the GPS files from Applananix, Furuno, and Novatel to .KMZ or .KML files to function within Google Earth.

Used MS Power Point for presentations to the Engineers.

Communicated through MS Outlook to create schedules and relay information.

Moved the data and GPS files to specific servers into specific folders across the network for the engineers to analyze using DOS batch scripting files.
