Hostler Driver

H&M International - Laredo, TX - September 2015 to December 2015 Responsibilities

Perform a check of Hostler truck every morning before operation going by a check list. Used computer in truck to see what what wok orders we be doing for the day. Using the computer to type in car number from the train and looking up what container was to be loaded on that car, whether it be a top or bottom or 20,40,53 ft container. Drove to the location that the computer indicated the container was and proceeded to hook up and drive along track side and unhook beside the the track, for loading with a crane. Also incoming train that needed to off loaded. We would bring all chassis required for the container, waited on the crane to offload it, using hostler trucks we hook up to them and park then in our lot, while putting the container number, chassis number and slot number where it went.

Using power tools on a daily basis to inspect pipe. Having strict and to the point steps and procedures to inspect that pipe.

Responsible for the care and well being if juvenilles that range from ages 10-17. I was responsible from anywhere to 2-12 juvenilles at a time. Made sure they followed rules and procedures that were estbalished. Kept an eye out for every one of them inccase they inflicted harm on themselves or threathen anyone it was documented and reported. Juvenilles would cause riots and we were trained on how to properly bring them down without using to much force.
