I would like to use my experience and hands on approach to further grow in this field and expand my experience. I have a lot of experience with many different processes used in the building of automotive interior trim. I am self-reliant and do not require direct supervision to accomplish my job duties. I have a very good working knowledge of the APQP process and all factors that go along with it from planning to launch and final plant sign-off. I have developed Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow and Operator instructions, packaging instructions. I am very efficient at charts and graphs using excel and power-point.

Production Manager

Managed the production floor with 714 hourly employees and 12 production supervisors over 3 shifts.

Processes that were managed under my supervision were Injection Molding, 100% hand wrap, vacuum form(PE), Thermoforming, hot melt adhesive hand wrap components, solvent based adhesive hand wrapped components, water based adhesive hand wrapped components, injection molding, soft touch paint, instrument panel assembly.

Launched 3 new programs using my experience in different processes and applications and provided hands-on assistance in training and launching the new product lines.

Implemented daily efficiency reporting. This allowed to track by work cell/product daily labor efficiencies to quoted labor standard.

Managed and schedule the production floor with 140 hourly employees and 5 production supervisors over 2 shifts.

Implemented and launched hard board wood cutting and forming operation as a transfer of business.

Helped to implement improvements that reduced daily scrap to less than 1.5% of DM.

Traveled to all customer locations to provide support when needed.

Implemented cost saving such as new pattern development to save on materials used, as well as labor used.

Implemented new steaming processes to cut tact time on wood forming by 50%

Implemented and managed the daily scrap review with supervisors and quality manager and then developed internal corrective actions weekly for the highest scrap issue. This allowed our internal scrap to maintain our target of 1.3% to DM.

Implemented daily efficiency reporting. This allowed to track by work cell/product daily labor efficiencies to quoted labor standard. Our daily average was maintained at 105% to standard.

Certified as hi-lo truck instructor and provided all training and licensing of material handlers and dock drivers.
