PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Provided strategic operational leadership, developing with the executive team the needed changes in strategy for the business and then aligning the operation to those benchmark goals in safety, plant and warehouse performance and innovation.

Promoted and created a robust safety culture, implementing clear communication, safety objectives, training, safety team and recognition that achieved zero lost time for many years.

Created plant and division wide KPIs and financial tracking system, using these tools to effective manage daily operations and monitor the effect of the LEAN process was improving plant productivity by nearly 2 times.

Improved Global SIFOT (shipped in full on time) in SAP, instituting process changes with customer service, accounts payable, plant and sales to move SIFOT from 65% to over the goal of 95% in just 4 months and recognized by global operations as first plant to achieve this goal.

Redesigned plant and warehouse work flow (Toyota Production System) to increase performance by 2 1/2 times and cost by $900,000, rewarding team for successful process improvements, waste reduction, warehouse layout/flow, error proofing (Poka Yoke) and 5S to become the national benchmark operation.

Implement LEAN processes in set up reduction, 5S, Value Stream Mapping and more, resulting in reduced set up times on a variety of equipment, 20 point increase in output with 5S and a 300% increase in work cell productivity by automating the system.

Reduced inventory costs by $1,100,000 in one year, providing the leadership to have tighter controls on inventory management to eliminate inventory loss and overall raw material level reductions to meet financial budget goals.

Managed remote production and warehousing within the supply chain, achieving a reducing of 3PL warehouse cost by 23% and increasing toll manufacturing production by 50% on a high growth product.

Providing industrial training and consulting services on a variety of manufacturing topics. Clients range from metal fabrication assembly, manufacturing, distribution and to clean room level production. Area of consulting is in LEAN strategies and tools on operations and Supply Chain and with process standardization and quality. Expert in coaching teams on new methods and waste reduction in manufacturing.

Plant (Facility) Manager, H.B. Fuller Inc. (2014 to 2015)

Directed a plant operation and quality laboratory for manufacturing window adhesives, industrial hygiene, electrical, and automotive specialty products. Operation included overseeing four locations with $82 million in revenue. Increased direct plant support of distribution to global spoke and hub centers. Plant needed operational leadership for major process improvement. I turned the plant around under my leadership within one year. I increased SIFOT (Shipped In Full On Time) performance from 62% to 95% and reduced raw material inventory. Implemented plan for employee development. Achieved and exceeded budget and profit goals during the past year to provide a solid contribution margin to the company. Led toll manufacturing joint venture project, increasing volume for a key adhesive product that made up 20% of the window adhesive portfolio.

I directed a group of over 140-person multi-functional team for a large regional and national distribution operation and assembly/fabrication manufacturing plant. Member of the operational executive team. Consistently achieving corporate and division objectives in P&L, on time orders, production, quality, process improvements and cost reductions. Business unit was under a robust government contract to provide new manufactured / re-assembled USPS postal containers (plastic, fiberboard, steel, aluminum and fabrics) and supply chain services for the region. These services included managing a 2 million plus FG and raw material inventory and a fleet of 140 semi-trailers to meet the annual logistics need of dispatching 20,000+ orders with 3PL providers.
