Graduating with Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Security earlier this year and combining with 23 years of military service with the US Army has created a skill set for success With the university skills learned in areas such as Network Operations and Infrastructure, the working knowledge of the SDLC software and systems; the use of security tools for hardware and software encryption techniques were obtained firsthand, always taking a leadership role in projects. My time with the military was a lesson in analytical problem solving under fire in an ever changing environment. Communicating via computer correspondence, and verbally served as everyday practice for reporting events and discrepancies. Often placed in hospital combat zones as the IT go to person for installations of maintenance programs; to load and remove patches and anti-viruses programs was an introduction to the ever changing world of IT.
