My time at ILC has been wonderful. As night shift nurse I am responsible for between 25-34 residents each shift. I administer medications, assess residents if their is a problem, and oversee the CNA's that help throughout the night. It has been a great experience getting to know these residents and to be there for them when the family cannot.
LPN for Family Health Care
October 2009- January 2014
My experience with FHC was wonderful. My time was divided between being the west nurse for the day and Urgent Care. My duties as west nurse were to oversee the medical assistants, give injections, start IV's if needed, help with rooming patients, draw blood, delegate lunch breaks, and relieve the medical assistants if one needed to leave. As an Urgent Care nurse I was responsible for rooming patients, starting and stopping IV therapy, performing blood draws, cathing patients, and setting up appoints and referrals. On occasion I had the role of charge nurse and would close the urgent care department on those days.
CMA AND LPN for THE PORTLAND CLINIC PORTLAND, OR
2002-2009
The Portland Clinic is where I started my medical career. In 2002 I worked as a Certified Medical Assisitant for three wonderful Internal Medicine Physicians. I roomed patients, triaged phone calls, set up appointments and made referrals. In 2009 I recieved my LPN and worked there briefly before moving to Montana. As a nurse I roomed patients, performed nurse triage on the phone and gave injections.
