SUMMARY
In addition to my extensive experience as a Special Education teacher I have also instructed young soldiers in computer based education and foreign nationals in English; I have worked in an after-school program helping high school students with disabilities develop life skills; and I have been the aid of a severely handicapped student. These experiences have given me more insight into the lessons needed to make students successful in school and life.

In 2013 I took a break from teaching to be a care giver for my aunt who was dying of cancer. She passed away in 2014, which is the same year my husband took a position in Italy. Due to traveling it was impossible for me to continue teaching in the US. We are currently back in the US and I am looking forward to getting back into teaching.
