Production:

Supervising production related tasks (plastics) including planning, control & troubleshooting, material planning, vendor development, etc. for achieving the planned periodic schedules and process control.

Monitoring the production status, procedures and systems followed in production to ensure compliance norms with desired quality and timely delivery of orders.

Developing new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement and developing guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities.

Process Enhancements:

Identifying scope for:

Planning / implementing technological changes to enhance efficiency.

Modifications in equipments, process flow, working practices, consumables etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.

Implementing various techniques for cycle time / cost reduction, entailing identification of opportunities, analysis of data, conducting tests, cost benefit analysis and implementation.

Appraising the prevalent production systems/ processes, identifying loopholes if any and undertaking result-oriented measures for alleviating them and documenting the same.

Quality Management Systems:

Ensuring adherence to the quality standards and overseeing implementation of various stages of workflow using quality tools like Kaizen, TS 16949.

Undertaking root cause analysis of problems and developing effective counter measures initiating Kaizen/ improvement ideas generation & implementation.

Taking stringent quality measures including preparation of necessary documents to ensure compliance with above standards & customer requirements.

Vendor Development:

Strengthening vendor source and developing alternate source of suppliers; responsible for development and inspection of samples, estimation, RFQ - costing and finalisation of quotations.

Finalizing purchase orders, schedules and follow up with vendors for supply of components.

Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as quality/ technology improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms, etc. Ensuring adherence to quality standards for all incoming materials.

Man Management &Training:

Directing and leading the technical & personnel. Imparting continuous on job training to the workforce for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness / efficiency.

Working on talent pool and succession planning of the management cadre and workforce, appraising their KRA based performance and providing feedback on the same.

Consumed 1 tons of reprocess plastics materials in a month without affecting the quality of the part.

Regrinded material mix with virgin at 25% by using Gravimetric blenders. ( Gravimetric programming )

Effectuating 3S improvement: FIFO method effectively followed by providing finished goods chute racks & traceability identification improvements. ( Moulding & Assembly )
