July 2008 – Dec. 2009 Program Manager for delivery of unique ethernet-based IT system for new light rail vehicles for Phoenix and Seattle including digital trainline connectivity; wayside wireless communication; automatic vehicle location; passenger signs, audio and intercom; video surveillance and monitoring and diagnostics system. Retained as new leader of former company (GeoFocus), now acquired by former customer (Kinkisharyo). Achieved vehicle acceptance and successful opening of revenue service for both Phoenix and Seattle light rail systems.

March 2000 – June 2002 President of company which develops and produces hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems for defense weapons systems. Full P&L responsibility. Manufacturing processes include machining, grinding, lapping, honing, assembly and test. Customers are Boeing, Raytheon, General Dynamics, BAE, US Army, others. Turned around a struggling organization; increased annual sales from $2.2M in '99 to $6.4M in '00. Achieved new business orders of $8.3M in 2000. Achieved growth through aggressive marketing, pricing and reliable delivery. Designed and supervised plant expansion, doubling facility size and improving efficiency.

Northrop Grumman Corporation, 1986 - 2000

1994 – 2000 Program Development Manager, B-2 Division, Pico Rivera, CA. Leader of Advanced Weaponization Integrated Product Team. Responsible for customer interface, requirements analysis and management of R&D projects related to integration of advanced weapons on the B-2 Bomber. Reduced USAF cost for integration of new weapons on the B-2. Captured $80M in new business in '96-'97, $32M in '98, $56M in '99. Negotiated $415M IDIQ contract for B-2 upgrades. Created expanded conventional roles for B-2, including delivery of heavy “bunker buster” penetrator weapons and multiple smart precision weapons. Development of those unique weapon delivery capabilities extended life of B-2, $9.9B contract over ten years.

1992 – 1994 Product Manager, Electronics Systems Division, Norwood, MA

Developed advanced navigation components for guided weapons, including integrated GPS/inertial packages incorporating developmental Fiber Optic Gyro technology.

1986 – 1992 Program Manager, Precision Products Division, Norwood, MA

Led multi-Division winning proposal team for joint USAF/Navy Inertial Guidance Technology Demonstration Program. Managed total program effort, including requirements analysis, design, development, and test support for breakthrough inertially guided bomb technology. Conducted successful flight tests at USAF Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL and Naval Air Weapons Center, China Lake, CA.

United States Army

1982 – 1985 Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager, Cannon Artillery Weapons Systems, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Managed multiple development and production programs for 155mm artillery. Conducted Dem/Val phase of Paladin 155mm Howitzer Program and awarded $84M development contract. Managed COPPERHEAD laser guided projectile production ($234M/year), and several munitions development programs.
