Analysis and redesign of clutch drive plate to increase efficiency March 2012

Worked in a group of two to design and analyze the clutch plate used in Leyland Viking Vehicle. The plate failed normally during operation due to cyclic loading. The structural design was done in ProE and Solidworks. Analysis of the clutch plate was done to discover the actual failure region by doing static analysis in ANSYS software. A new clutch was appropriately redesigned using the data obtained from analysis to counteract this reason for failure.

Design of Hydro-Pneumatic Press May 2011
