Supervised the design, construction, and commissioning of the facility, coordinating efforts with Nat. Inst. Health. Assisted CSU with the procurement of lab & office equipment/ implementation.

6.4/02-10/05-Government of Norway, Global Seed Vault, $18M, Food Agriculture Organization of the Unite Nations, and the Global Crop Diversity Trust to prepare a report on establishing a Genetic Seed Depository on the Norwegian Island of Svalbard. Material will be stored in the facility to forego a possible manmade or natural catastrophe in the future. Developed preliminary design and project costs for the project, submitted to Government of Norway.

7.4/02-10/05-Cairo, Egypt, prepared a facilities report, designed medium foot print plan for the construction of genetic research laboratories, standard and cryogenic storage. The Project is under review for future capital funding from USAID.

8.Provided as needed consultant services for other consulting engineers with special emphasis on Contract Administration and construction in Denver, Aurora, and Northern Colorado.

WESTFIELD DEVELOPMENT, INC (Frederick Ross Co.) Denver & Greeley, Colorado

Project & Construction Manager, Promontory Project - Greeley, CO. The Promontory Project is a large commercial and residential development in West Greeley, home to State Farm Regional offices and Swift & Company. (5/00 – 4/02) Project Budget, $22M.

1. Managed and supervised Phase I, II, III construction of the project. Prepared & Administered general construction contracts and subcontracts. The project was composed of three major highway intersections, water, wastewater, non-potable distribution lines, storm sewer, installed primary & secondary underground distribution systems, upgraded local substation and street light installaton.

2.Coordinated efforts with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), City Of Greeley, Weld County12 general contracts, 35 subcontractors, supervised construction, and all regulatory coordination.

Project/Construction Manager, Facility and Highway/Bridge Projects (3/98 – 5/00)

1.Managed several facility improvement projects, commercial buildings, and warehouses. Seconded to URS Corporation for the field management of CDOT road & Bridge Projects. Responsible for construction estimates and value engineering, project budgets and quality control supervision.

Project & Senior Construction Manager (4/96 – 3/98)

1. Resident Engineer and quality control manager for the Main USPS Office, Golden, CO. Managed entire project and. Project was designed with state of the art bulk paper handling equipment.

2. Site Manager, Coors Brewing Ethanol Recovery Project. Managed & supervised the procurement, construction & modifications to an existing distillation tower, installed a molecular sieve, product storage tanks, automated load out and fire suppression system.

BECHTEL PACIFIC – Sydney, Australia & San Francisco, CA

Project Coordinator, Southeast Asia (Contract Basis) (1/95 – 4/96) Team saved Bechtel $73 Million on Projects totaling $1.7 Billion.

1. Led a 35-member technical, construction, and material audit team for projects located in China, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, New Guinea, Malaysia, and South Korea.

2. Developed rail and light rail project to support the Hong Kong International Airport & supporting suspension bridge. General program development and operational plan for the airport

Project/Construction Manager (8/90 – 1/95)

1. Project Manager for the upgrading of Buckley Air National Guard Base to accommodate all military services, four lane divided roadways, bridges, and rerouting of dry & wet utilities.

2. Construction manager for the USDA’s National Seed Storage Laboratory, CSU Campus. CEC award winning design. Project required multi-discipline engineering/construction supervision for laboratories, standard and cryogenic storage vaults, humidity equilibration, automatic controls, and SCADA building control. Selected by the USDA, USAID, COE to supervise projects in India, Mexico, Russia.

3. Supervised construction of COE Maintenance Facility Training Facility, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. Project included training rooms, fully outfitted mechanical shop, classrooms, and training auditoriums.

Project Engineer for the disposal of Transuranic Wastes, DOE-Los Alamos National Laboratory, Santa Fe, NM.
