Position: Electrician / Circuit Board Soldering / Repair Tech Install power outlet boxes into simulators along with wiring. Wiring for 2 phase and 3 phase. Working with 5 24v power supplies. Wire 240v power cords to run the sims during testing and everyday use. Drill and tap holes where needed. Wiring of the plc and test for accuracy. Wire pilot and copilot side of cockpit, GPS system, map lights, fuel gauges, etc. Correct any problems found during testing. Help solder circuit boards for simulators. Some field service repairs and setups in Texas for the Naval Air Station.

Position: Wiring and Circuit Board Solder / Test and Repair Technician Remote Outdoor Surveillance Camera Systems

Building remote surveillance cameras that sends a photo when triggered by wireless sensor. Cutting, fabricating and installing of raptor cases for camera, battery, battery charger, and antennas. Soldering components onto circuit boards and mount into cases. Wire and install batteries and components for a battery charger. Also wire up the cameras to work with the motherboards. Test out all products. Testing of the product is done by having the raptor take a picture. The pictures are then sent via email to me and the customer. If this does not happen then it is also my job to troubleshoot and repair any problems. There is customer returns that need repaired. Once I have duplicated the customer’s problem, they are notified with the cost of their repair. A lot of times the customers will call with problems, which can sometimes be trouble shooted over the phone to get them up and running again.

Position: Electrician /Fabrication Specialist

Wiring of control panels and enclosures. Read ladder logic drawings. Drill and tap for din rail and conduit. Test out finished product and programming using volt meters and computer software. Using volt meter to check for AC and DC current. Use of computer software to program sim cards, control panel screens. Go through computer software to make panels think it is overheating, to make sure breakers will trip and alarms go off. Program and test circuit boards as needed. Pull and test every wire in the panel to check for secure connections. Check labeling and wire numbers for accuracy. Check to make sure what was built is correct with the drawing and build materials. All and all making sure the products were wired to specs and everything works and does what it was designed to do. Doing fabrication such as cutting out for screens and switches. Talk to engineers about problems that may arise and figure out solutions. Worked on PVC piping, gluing and testing for leaks on PVC pipes that myself or other employees built. Trained new electricians coming in. Boxed finished and prepare product for shipping. UL 508 shop.
