HIGHLIGHTS OF EXPERIENCE:

Technical Instructor/Simulator Project Manager 2008-present National Oilwell Varco, Houston, TX

Developed and launched curricula for seven different courses based on National Oilwell Varco's Hydralift line of products. Contributes regularly to the creation and improvement of additional educational materials and courses.

Provided technical training on capabilities and limitations of equipment, as well as general operation and maintenance procedures.

Traveled internationally often to gain the knowledge needed to teach courses on new technical equipment.

Charged with maintenance and upkeep of all simulators and classroom equipment at the Houston Technical College.

Aegis Equipment Instructor 2005 to 2008

Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI

Instructed over 1,100 department head students in the familiarization and integration of Aegis weapon systems equipment and peripherals.

Built and oversaw the upkeep and maintenance of a 33-station training simulator with 2 servers.

Saved the United States Navy over 1.2 million dollars by reconstructing an old trainer and expropriating the equipment to a training facility in another location. Fire Controlman/Technician 1999 to 2005

USS Barry (DDG-52), Norfolk, VA

Oversaw $5M of advanced electronic equipment and cooling systems in the Aegis Display System on a United States Destroyer.

Subject matter expert for the Aegis Weapon System providing call-in support and troubleshooting assistance to the US Navy Eastern Fleet. Provided technical support and physical maintenance assistance by phone or in person by traveling where needed.

Saved the combat systems department $12,000 by finding more cost-effective replacement parts.
