The Simulation of Hepatic Resection application is used for excising the Hepatophyma found in the liver. Hepatectomies are performed to surgically remove tumours from the liver. In Simulation of Hepatic ResectionApplication, the contour and resection area of liver are specified in a liver SPECT image by drawing ROI and residual liver capacity and schedule residual liver capacity are calculated. SPECT and Registered CT data are used for processing.
Responsibility: Involved in requirement gathering, design, analysis and development of this application. C++ integration with IDL was done which helped this module to perform better and as requested by the client.

Basic idea of line profile lies in Spect image. Full width Half maximum is used to describe a measurement of the width of the object in a picture when that object does not have sharp edges. In line profile application, pixel values between selected range in the image will be added for plotting the curve. Total and mean method are used. Cursors can be placed for determining the values on the curve. Result values are saved in excel format.
Responsibility: Designed and developed the class in C++ for the calculation of pixel values for line profile and the created dll is loaded from the IDL application.

Reconstruction is performed by inputting two dimensional projection data and enhancing into three dimensional data. Input for reconstruction is NM data of DICOM format. Reconstructed output may be TOMO, gated TOMO or dynamic TOMO. Eight reconstruction methods are supported. Reconstruction is handled using C++ dll which uses the reconstruction algorithm for each method.
Responsibility: Developed the C++ class for loading dll based on the reconstruction method.

UltraExtend is a data management tool developed for today's clinical environments. SR ata of different products like Aplio, Artida, IPF, Viamo and Nemio are supported with th its measurements displayed in Findings Record. It uses SQL Server for storing the records.

SR Conversion (“Slugger DICOM Basic SR Conversion to Enhanced SR”) should be performed with the help of TusSRConvert.lib. This library is used to convert the Basic SR data to Enhanced SR data and Enhanced SR data to Basic SR Data. Generated Enhanced SR data of different vendors Toshiba, Philips and Seimens.
