Intern

Worked as an Intern for heap leaching. In this type of operation, the material extracted from the mine is located on cleansed and made impervious surface, having a certain slope to allow the flow of the rich solution to the outside of the heap. The leach solution is sprayed (perforated pipes or sprinklers) to the top of the heap and then percolates through it while solubilizing the recoverable metal. The rich solution is collected at the lower end of the surface to be pumped to the recovery tanks.
