XCEL ENERGY 06 / 2014 - Present

Electrical Design Engineer

•Prepare and design review 1-3 Engineering Change Packages a day for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant that are necessary to maintain its equipment at their design basis that would have adverse effects to the 700 tribal members of the Prairie Island Indian Community if not maintained in accordance with 10CFR50 regulations and codes such as ASME-NQA-1-1994 and EPRI-NP-6406. • Conducted over 100 local leak rate tests to ensure that radiation leakage in the plant's containment did not exceed its required dose. •Manage and initiate over 10 procedure change requests and corrective actions in order to address any discrepancies in procedures, human performance errors, and operational issues. • Improved the Plant’s Business Excellence by successfully completing the Nuclear Engineering Development Program, acting as a temporary supervisor for the plant’s Electrical Maintenance shop and supporting the plant’s Operation and Production Planning in order to verify, validate, and address over 50 Operator Burdens that not only increased the Plants Operational Excellence and Risk Recognition, but also increasing cross-functional teamwork between the Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Department.

Team Leader

•Served as team leader and carried out any instructions that the Squad Leader instructed in order to unit cohesion and effectiveness during performance of exercises and military operations. •Worked and trained cohesively with approximately 12 Marines in the squad to conduct successful Military operations and exercises. •Delegated responsibilities within the platoon and taught classes to 10 -15 Marines on topics such as urban combat, weapons systems, and fire team coordination and operations so that Marines were properly knowledgeable and efficient in performance and missions.

Assistant Field Engineer

•Designed a Solar Tower for the company’s project site in Ghana, West Africa for distributing over 45 Watts of power to the IT department’s electronic devices that was proven feasible and efficient enough to be applied for supporting project completion at the companies desired time. •Coordinated the troubleshooting and commissioning of the company’s Middlesex project site which was completed after 3 weeks of testing and rewiring which allowed for effective energy management for the facility that was utilizing the site’s solar power. • (Assistant Systems Technician - June 2012 - October 2012): Completed the effective transition from Windows XP to Windows 7 and formatted the computers to be included within the company domain which allowed for greater performance in the workplace.

• Mentored 106 students from Hillsborough High School in the planning, design, and manufacturing of a robot for the FIRST Robotics Competition which allowed them to showcase their knowledge and product. •Instructed students in creating proper schematics and blueprints using AutoCAD 2012 for the electrical aspect of the robot in order to better reference the wiring in the devices and design for more effective troubleshooting in a timely manner. •Abetted other projects, including Project Methany, in the planning, designing, and manufacturing of devices, such as a Button Machine and Visual Stimulator, to enhance quality of life issues for patients with learning disabilities. •Guided students in Project Theatre in designing and manufacturing Hillsborough High School’s first platform to create better effects for the school’s theatre team.
