Project Leader - Mechanical/Structural Designer/Draftsman National Oilwell Varco - Houston, TX - July 2012 to January 2016 Responsibilities

• Lead projects assigned insuring that all aspects of the jobs were designed and fabrication drawings created due to customer needs/contract obligations. Communicated weekly with Senior management, Project management, Applications Engineer, Scheduling Dept., and other control engineers to ensure engineering due dates were on schedule.

• Designed control rooms( Driller’s Cabin, Local equipment Rooms (LER’s), and Driller’s Consoles) for Offshore and Land Rigs per NOV standards while also having to meet requirements of the customer and other governing authorities(ex. API, ABS-MODU, ABS-CDS).

Created GAD’s, assembly drawings, weldments, revised drawings, “AS Built” drawings, re-designed older designs to provide a more up to date look and safer structure for operators, filed drawings in NOV’s electronic documentation center(Teamcenter), and worked on special projects as required by Engineering Manager.
