• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in compliance with state and federal DOT guidelines. Use various loading techniques, such as loading tight or cross loading.

Project Leader - Mechanical/Structural Designer/Draftsman National Oilwell Varco - Houston, TX - July 2012 to January 2016 Responsibilities

• Lead projects assigned insuring that all aspects of the jobs were designed and fabrication drawings created due to customer needs/contract obligations. Communicated weekly with Senior management, Project management, Applications Engineer, Scheduling Dept., and other control engineers to ensure engineering due dates were on schedule.

• Designed control rooms( Driller’s Cabin, Local equipment Rooms (LER’s), and Driller’s Consoles) for Offshore and Land Rigs per NOV standards while also having to meet requirements of the customer and other governing authorities(ex. API, ABS-MODU, ABS-CDS).

• Developed detailed mechanical/structural drawings according to ANSI, and ABS requirements. Created GAD’s, assembly drawings, weldments, revised drawings, “AS Built” drawings, re-designed older designs to provide a more up to date look and safer structure for operators, filed drawings in NOV’s electronic documentation center(Teamcenter), and worked on special projects as required by Engineering Manager. Created 2D, 3D, and isometric conceptual layouts using Auto Cad, and Solid Works.
