Professional Summary

I am a seasoned facility operation professional with over 25 years in the industry. I have currently relocated to the Hampton Roads area and am looking for a company that my skill set will benefit.

EXPERIENCE

Facility Director, MOT Charter Schools 07/08 to 10/2016

As the Facility Director I am responsible for all building and safety related issues. This includes staffing, training, vendor management of contractors and suppliers, maintenance of building and all building equipment, the rental of the facility, ordering of all building supplies, and budgeting for the building. Security and traffic control also fall under my responsibilities. I am very proud to say that MOT Charter School was the first school in Delaware that participated in an “Intruder Response” mock trial coordinated with the Delaware State Police, local police, and emergency first responders. Additionally, I am responsible for all safety drills and monitoring of the buildings systems. Primary focus had been maintenance and security for the K-8 facility until 2014 when MOT added an 80,000 square foot high school. During this phase of my tenure, I was responsible for design, contractor selection, and overseeing the build. At completion of the project I selected the maintenance and housekeeping staff and trained them, including the building manager. Currently I am assisting with future plans that include a gymnasium, soccer and baseball fields, and out buildings to house equipment.

Maintenance Supervisor, Aramark Corporation 08/02 to 07/08

As the Maintenance Supervisor I maintained the appearance and operation of a 50,000 square foot secondary school and monitored the appearance and operations of a 35,000 square foot elementary school. Operational functions included maintenance and repairs to the electrical, heating, air conditioning and plumbing. Appearance functions included best practices for floor maintenance and grounds keeping. I also supervised two housekeeping staff members, maintained records for budgeting purposes, and order all maintenance and housekeeping supplies.

Appliance Repair and Installation, Delmar Appliance 07/01 to 08/02

My primary responsibility was the delivery and installation of client’s appliance purchases in a timely, orderly, and clean fashion. Repairs for client as requested for both warranty and non-warranty work. I would also assist on the sales floor as needed.

Operator and Quality Assurance Inspector, Camdel Metals 10/00 to 04/01

My flexibility allowed me to play the role of relief operator. In addition to operating an Epson annealing machine, I also preformed quality control inspections, assisted in the shipping department and operated a forklift.

Hydrogen Plant Operator, Air Products and Chemical Inc. 10/83 to 10/00

My responsibilities at Air Products included daily logs, hourly reading of compressor output, dew points, and oxygen ratings, analyze and inspect hydrogen trailers, and calibration of equipment. I also assisted the plant mechanic on repairs to equipment and buildings.
