Broadcast Systems and Maintenance Engineer 1997-2016

Performed upgrades, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all computing systems and associated broadcast equipment, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.

Held major responsibility for installing, configuring, wiring, and testing new or relocated broadcast, production, and digital media systems. Included physical installation of equipment and running cables following installation procedures.

Troubleshot, maintained, and supported broadcast hardware and software systems, using MS Windows, Linux systems, encoders, Multiplexers, signal distribution, signal monitors, and encryption and decryption equipment.

Read and followed documentation drawings used for installation, changes, and troubleshooting, including relaying document changes to Chief Design Engineer for updating as-built drawing sets.

Operated and read test equipment, including waveform monitors, vector, and audio distortion analyzers to measure and display the level or voltage of a video signal.

Held critical responsibility for technical installation and support of all FNC-Woodlands broadcast, post-production, and digital media systems, including physical installation and cabling of any broadcast or non-broadcast systems assigned.

Worked with outside vendors and/or associates within the FNC-Woodlands facility on new installations, upgrades, modifications, and technical troubleshooting.
