General Information:
I am a member of Alpha Chi Academic Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society. I have been on the President's List, and Dean's List at WTAMU during most of my academic career. I have served as Editor of The Legacy, WTAMU's annual arts publication. I was also a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and served as a Sigma Nu Fraternity Little Sister. I also read, write, and speak Spanish moderately well.
During my early years at WTAMU I served as Social Concerns Chairperson, and Treasurer for my church. I was on the founding board of directors for Canyon Cares, a local charitable organization that gives aid to indigent families, providing food, shelter, utility payments, and emergency fuel rations. Canyon Cares also provides school supplies for area students, a program I promoted, organized, and supervised during my tenure on the board of directors. I have also taught Sunday School classes to students of various ages. I am currently active in my church, and regularly attend two Bible studies.
I have served as company training coordinator for Inter-Office, and Corporate communications with customers, a computer program designed to facilitate both. I have often been top sales consultant in my local organization, as well as in the region.
For the past few years I have cared for my ailing parents, both of whom have passed on. I also do quite a bit of volunteer work representing my church for the community. I am easy to get along with, and enjoy working with people. I am eager to join the workforce once more.
I volunteer through my church, and Sharing Hope Ministry, and I also volunteer through the Potter/Randall Republican Headquarters. I enjoy working with families of all sorts, and I easily adapt to new environments.
