Work Experience

Tower Runner

11/2016 - 12/2017 DHL, Obetz, Ohio

Hired as a seasonal temporary employee. I was hired in as a Tower Runner, my

duties were to Replenish product for the pickers. As the forklift drivers drop off the

the product it was my responsibility to scan the case label, insure the product

inside was correct and undamaged, cut the cases open, and then scan the case of

product into the proper active location, And physically place product on pick rack

nice and neatly, as well as assuring the right product is in the right location and the

pick racks are always organised and easily distinguishable for the pickers, I was

quickly cross trained in other areas such as picking were i would use a gladiator

witch is like an RF gun and scan toted collates and review and pick customer

orders, in picking i was allot of times the last person to touch a customers order

before it left the facility so it was important that i made sure the order was complete

and and processed properly, missing no items undamaged and missing no items. I

was also trained to investigate and find missing cases of product, and to assign

product with no active location to an active location for the pickers.

Team lead and Seasonal Supervisor

11/2006 - 1/2013 Red-Envelpoe, Obetz, Ohio

Hired only as a temporary seasonal Packer I was only supposed to be employed

with the company through the Christmas peak season but I was quickly recognized

as a strong hard working employee unexpectedly I was hired on as a permanent full

time employee within 30 days of my start date. During the six plus year I worked for

Red-Envelope I was cross trained in and worked in just about every department

and learned every aspect of thee entire facility. After about one year I was

promoted to team Lead of the picking department, and after about two years I was

promoted to seasonal supervisor. Year round I was a Lead but during our peak

seasons (Holidays) I was a seasonal supervisor over the pick department. I could

also perform all of the duties of a picker. Picking consist of using an RF gun to scan

toted collated customer orders and physically picking the proper damage free

product. As a Packer I would review customer orders to insure they were picked

correctly and were missing no items, contained no incorrect or damaged items and

were gift wrapped and or gift boxed according to the customers request, placed into

the proper courgette and send to shipping. Shipping is the last point of contact

before leaving the warehouse to ship to the customer. once i insure the order is

completely correct and is presentable for the customer I would weigh and ship

using UPS shipper on the computer, then orders are to be placed on a pallet sorted

by customer addresses, And shipped out of the warehouse in time to be received

by the customer on time. After leaving packing but before making it to shipping

orders are randomly diverted to Quality Control (Q.C) were they are intensely

checked for every little detain from correct, complete, nice and neat product. The

Returns department is were orders and items returned by customers would be

received back into the warehouse physically and manually received into the

inventory information data base. I was also responsible for communicating with

customers through E-Mail and phone calls to fix any issues or concerns pertaining

to customer returned orders, as well as processing there refund payments. Working

in receiving I had to communicate frequently with UPS and drivers through E-Mail

and phone to schedule and inquire about drop off times and other things such as

witch dock doors to use and not use.
