Analysis of Sound Signals Generated in Ultrasonic Welding of Battery Cells
Conduct a feasibility experiment of quality monitoring during metal welding, using an audible sound signal.
Analyze signal in the time-frequency domain and characterized by the behavior in the audible sound range.
Built a two DOF damping system mathematic model in Matlab to investigate characteristics of audible signal, which then served as design guidelines for smoother welding quality in real time. Involve processes of DMADV on previous designs, CAD writing and FEA analysis (on Solidworks), DFMEA and optimization to welding parameters.
Develop and verify finite element physical models, then simulate temperature field of welding process in real external luggage cage cover manufacturing process with FEM through program developed on Inter Visual Fortran with ANSYS.
Deduct theoretical equations of relevant parameters and the welding quality to serve as a reference in actual production.
Conduct actual experiments for laser brazing on specific model of Zn-coated steel plates to verify theoretical equations. Awards
