Cell Site Ethernet Integration Engineer

Control all aspects of site change-over and cutover for pure IP environment.

Perform data Base changes, testing and control of Network elements from Node B thru total network.

Supervising field engineering. This included MGW circuit circuit cutovers(OC3,48) provisioning and testing also

DAX changes associated with this process. My duties involved but where not limited to software updates in the RNCs associated (rehomes, scripts, etc). This also included Node B redesign from network interface changes from the PDU, EMS, RF, Scrambling code changes to Telco circuit test, turn-up/down Spreadsheet modifications for Granite documentations.

During my assignment I often had to supervise Cost concerns,(man power, equipment, concept and design).Controlled up to 10-12 field crews on daily basis,(JDSU crews, RF drive testers, advanced RF test teams, to assure Project cost containment was in line with overall budget allocation.

This position enhanced my IP skill set in that I had the responsibility of testing all network elements remotely to assure both design and routing concepts were always meet.

Worked closely with RF engineering on KPI’s, cluster and overall system parameter, performance details.

Performed translation routing Voice/Data test and call failure handling problems with the various translation teams.

UMTS/E911 Engineer

Responsible for supporting Field. Engineers in configuring, optimizing Node B's. This included Antenna, Power, TTNA,LMU and other external equipment.

Total control of all BTS outages and troubleshooting, management reporting, an analyzing callout and verification of all problem resolution. My duties included coordination of drive testing, installation antenna crews for all support of 3G systems, and the integrations of 2.5G EDGE equipment. I performed the final verification of T1/OC, Microwave adds & final tests from PSTN (MSC) thru DAC's all thru the final BTS,(Node-B). Responsible for 2&3 level supports for failover/termination procedure, also complete support of escalation reporting. Basically I was a one man NOC for the entire SW region.

Upon completion of the installation I also maintained system standards for alarm setup/testing of all external equipment including the E-911 Scout protocol and final QC. It was my sole duty to report the go/no go status of daily operations to upper management from project management to regional upper level management.

Worked daily with RF engineering supplying all support data when needed. My duties included adding IUB/T1's for new Node’s, this was accomplished by logging into the RNC via the OMC gateway to both install, monitor and implement control. Also monitored and troubleshot MSC-RNC problems via the gateway for signalling7 (SS7) translation issues. I performed all translation concerns for the 3G network, this included RMT and GUI interfaces. I have completed all Lucent UMTS training classes (RNC, NodeB. PSAX Multimedia gateway, Packet & Data courses including RF boot camp. I have over 5 years’ experience with Lucent Flexant UMTS equipment, RNC, Node-B,PSAX Media gateway, MSC engineering, optimization and testing.
