Algorithm that Identifies Tendon Tears in Ultrasound Images using Machine Learning, Senior Design, Virginia Tech, 2016-2017
Served as project manager over a team of five members
Developed an image analysis algorithm in MATLAB that acts as an objective measurement tool to quantitatively analyze ultrasound images and identify tears or areas of potential injury
Applied knowledge of biomechanics in knee and ultrasound images to accurately design an efficient algorithm
Enabled this algorithm to be available in open source programs such as Python Life-Sustaining Shelter on Mars, Exploring Engineering and Design, Virginia Tech, Spring 2014
Designed a shelter to support life on Mars while taking into account all the constraints of the harsh environment
Constructed a prototype of the design in the Virginia Tech Frith Lab Traffic Light Algorithm, Engineering Exploration, Virginia Tech, Fall 2013
Designed an algorithm in MATLAB for a stop light to increase efficiency of traffic flow at the intersection of University City Boulevard and Prices Fork Road
Piloted the algorithm with a simulation of real traffic flow Professional Experience
