Laboratory Technician (June 28, 2016- October 22, 2016)

Conducts analysis to determine carbonyls in E-cigarette aerosol by UPLC-MS.

Report any procedural deviations from the scientific method to the designated subject matter expert.

Verify daily sufficiency of solutions made for each experiment. (i.e. “Mobile Phase”, “Trapping Solution”, “Perchloric Acid”).

Responsible for calibrating the weigh stations and smoking machine (i.e. “Borgwaldt: LX20”).

Collect and prepare typed confidential data reports for forwarding to the Lab Director for approval. Afterwards, these reports are promptly forwarded to the assigned clients.

Extract biological samples using liquid-liquid extractions, protein precipitation, solid phase extraction, immune-precipitation, ELISA or other immunoassays.

Implement proper and timely GLP documentation according to Standard Operating Procedures, validation protocols, and Sponsor protocols.

Ensure daily maintenance of laboratory freezers and refrigerator through routine documentation and records reporting.

Contact vendors for supply quotes, and place required lab supply orders.

Perform operation of HPLC-UV, LC-MS/MS; such as initiating “analytical runs”.
