MEP Manager at Organic Engineering Consultancy July 2014 – Present

As Manager MEP, I coordinate all activities of design and supervision of the division. Client discussions, presentation of design concepts, attending technical / progress meetings for pre and post contract works. Some of the works I have been involved are post contract Al Fahad 1 (3B+G+24) residential tower, Al Fahad 2 (2B+G+24) residential tower at Jumira Heights area, pre contract of Residential villas at Nad Al shiba, Jumira mall, 7 Vila complex etc.

MEP Manager at Dynamic Engineering Consultant March 2011 – June 2014

As MEP Manager with Dynamic Engineering Consultant basically an Architect & Structural Consulting Company, I was reporting to Managing Director, have the opportunity to coordinate all activities of design and supervision of the division. Client discussions, presentation of design concepts, attending technical / progress meetings for design and post contract work are some of my daily activities. Some of the works I have been involved are post contract activities of 523 G+1 villas and 92 G+1 Town houses in JVC for Nakheel, Pre contract works of Gymnasium at Technopark, post contract modification of Chinese restaurant and Gymnasium at Atlanties hotel at Palm Jumirah, Villas D48 and J4 in Palm Jumirah, pre and post contract of Ali Al Hai villa, Shamil Al Hai villa, Fadi Villa etc.

During the above period I was Senior Mechanical Engineer / Regional Manager in National Engineering Bureau Architect / Consultant. I was acting regional manager for the post contract activities for 4 to 5 projects at a time. My responsibilities were to review the job assignments to the Engineers under me and to approve drawings and materials reviewed by Senior Engineers, participating in progress meetings, checking the quality and progress of job, taking appropriate corrective measures as required, verifying monthly bills and variations from contractor, closing out the job and documents. I was involved in pre contract works too.

I was involved in the verifying and stream line the project program preparation, resource planning, material planning, drawing preparation, site quality control, resource planning and all MEP activity at the project.

Design HVAC, plumbing and drainage systems. Jacob was also responsible for the correction and approval of as-built drawings and the O&M Manual.

Hitech Industries, India: I have held the position of senior engineer with this company and as such my responsibilities included site supervision of air-conditioning, pipe lines for compressed air and water, and plant erection.

Steel Industries, India: I have joined this company as a trainee engineer and during the 11 years, worked for them progressed to the position of senior engineer. In this role I was responsible for site engineers, the co-ordination of plant erection and fabrication activities, and the planning of project activities.
