WORKING EXPERIENCE

Currently working as Technician Microbiologist in Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital, Ghaziabad for 21/10/2015 to till date

SPECIAL SKILLS AND LABORATORY TECHNIQUES:

Microbiology skills: aseptic and sterile techniques, bacterial staining. Plating methods (streak, spread, pour, replica), enumeration and identification of bacteria, maintenance of pure cultures, handing of microbial cultures, use of biological safety cabinets, media and buffer preparation, food microbiology, preparation of different types of media, use of selective media, agglutination test, handling of Vitek Compact 2 (for identification of micro-organism and antibiotic sensitivity).

Biochemistry and Cell & Molecular Biology skills: DNA extraction, isolation from bacterial culture, PCR, Agarose gel electrophoresis, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Antibiotic sensitivity test, Cell fractionation by differential centrifugation.

Chemistry skills: solution preparation, titrations,BOD, extractions filtrations, separations, Simple and fractional distillation, solubilitytests, thin layer chromatography.

Duties:-

Responsible for microbiological testing of patient’s samples.

To assist the consultant microbiologist in identifying the organisms by direct microscopy and biochemical tests as well as drug sensitivity against the particular finding.

Maintaining the quality control of drugs by ATCC Strains and also preservation of the Strain.

Environmental sampling in the hospital premises to control the Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI).

Testing the disinfectants used in hospital disinfection policy ( CIDEX,D-125).

Microbiological testing of drinking water of hospital.

Conducting Personal hygiene audits of the hospital staff.

To maintain the stock indent in the lab.

Monitoring the cleaning schedule in the lab premises.
