Technical and R&D Lead
Developed regulatory, clinical, and business strategy for commercializing a nasal sinus irrigation catheter.
Wrote bench testing, animal, and human clinical protocols to demonstrate ISO 10993 compliance and to support a
submission for a 510(k) Pre-Market Notification.
Sourced and evaluated components and manufacturing processes, ensuring that BOM was within desired price point.
Designed and prototyped devices for rigorous bench top, simulated environment, and cadaveric testing.
Interviewed physicians and observed 100+ surgeries to identify unmet clinical needs.
Sphygmo: Solar-Powered, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor August 2012 – July 2013
Designed and built an ambulatory blood pressure monitor for one tenth of the cost of existing products.
Reverse-engineered oscillometric algorithm to calculate blood pressure with an accuracy to meet international standards.
Designed and implemented pre-clinical accuracy and usability tests of prototyped sphygmomanometer.
