The project implementation, was to upgrade / migrate all applications from existing Essbase version to 11.1.2.4. The migration covered several aspects of the objects (a) outlines (b) calculation scripts (c) report scripts. There were several scripts related to MaxL that where then migrated over and changes were made to make sure that they executed successfully in the newer environment. These scripts were related to meta-data build and also data-loads, in a few instances report scripts. There were several Essbase partitions in place, that were also recreated and tested. Security was as simple as individual users being assigned access to Essbase applications, or Security Groups that had security provisioned against them. Complex security were those that required creation of essbase filters.

Extensive training session since the existing Essbase excel add-in has been discontinued from a support perspective. This training focused on the new reporting add-in to Excel, Essbase Smart View. The training session conducted on-line highlighted key features and addressed questions from the Client base.
