Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) October 2015 – Present

Executive Director – Responsible for providing a new Architecture and the Road Map to transform DTCC’s Information Technology to next generation private and public cloud services. The Road map includes: Special considerations to reduce number of Applications and Data Centers to create private cloud services and improve availability and reduce cost by providing options to migrate selective applications to public cloud services. The total cost of the projects over the next 3 years will be funded by End of Life process, hardware and software Platform renegotiation, reduction of applications, closing of Data Centers, and current run rate for innovation and change.

VP of Information Technology & CIO – Responsible for architecture, engineering, installation and operation of SoftCard’s infrastructure services including: Data Centers, Compute, Storage, Networks, Application Support (24x7 operation support), Service Management (Release, Problem, Change, Incident and Event Management), BCP/DR implementation/testing, and End User support. Also responsible for Information and Physical Security including penetration testing and overall infrastructure security, Vendor Management, negotiate contracts to achieve best pricing and value. Forecast budgets, manage and provide opportunities to reduce cost which resulted in savings for 2013, 2014 and 2015 of 14%.

SoftCard, the joint venture created by AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, has developed an open a comprehensive mobile commerce platform utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Softcard has developed the first mobile wallet on Android platform that is fully functional and compatible with over 33 devices on AT&T, Verizon and TMO mobile networks.

Director of IT - Global Infrastructure Services and Application Development - Responsible for the strategic planning, architecture, engineering, installation, and operation of AMD’s Global Infrastructure including: Compute, Storage, Network platforms, Data Center facilities, Information Security, Application Development, DBA support, Service Desk, Disaster Recovery planning, Collaborations and On Site Services. Global Services include facilities in North and South America, Europe, China, India, and Malaysia. Also responsible for vendor negotiations, budget forecasting, and Service Delivery Management of outsourced services. Accomplishments include: Successful review and re-engineering of Data, Voice and Video networks and providing unified communications to North America’s Customers; consolidations and negotiations of Field Support Offices in EMEA and Asia; separations of manufacturing and other business units through divesture; received approval on Data Center consolidation plans to reduce 18 Data Centers globally to 3 over 3-5 Years (12 Centers closed to date and delivered two new data centers, one KL Malaysia in 2010 and a second Data Center in Atlanta in 2011. Implementation of new Service Desk based on ITIL version 3 to replace 7 existing applications and processes. Achieved target budget savings of 25% for 2009, 15% for 2010 and 18% in 2011.

Dell, Inc., Austin, TX June 2006 - July 2008

Director of IT - Global Telecommunication Networks & Call Center Services - Responsible for the strategic planning, architecture, engineering, installation, and operation of Dell’s Global Networks in support of manufacturing and call center facilities in North and South America, Europe, China, India, Japan, and Malaysia. Responsible for vendor and carrier negotiations, budget forecasting, portfolio acquisitions, and relationship management for outsourced services. Championed the implementation of an IP management system for large IP networks. Managed the technical design and implementation of major projects including: Global MPLS network using Verizon Business and BT; VoIP for call centers; data center consolidation; ACD consolidation; IVR and voice recognition systems; and virtualization using VMware. Dell’s Global Network is a large MPLS and ATM environment with Cisco, Juniper, Nortel, and Avaya systems. Dell has multiple data processing centers that support Global IT operations for large call centers, manufacturing facilities, and partner/vendor connections. Accomplishments include: rollout and consolidation of large MPLS network globally; ACD consolidations, life cycle management in manufacturing and contact centers increasing availability and reliability; offshore workforce management and establishment of NOC in KL, Malaysia; renegotiations of traffic with carriers and savings of 20% on rates; establishment of 3-5 year network architecture; implementation of first automated IP management systems. Bank of America, Dallas, TX May 1991 - May 2006

Senior Vice President - Network Technology Services - Responsible for MBNA’s global network engineering and 24 hour operations. Defined a company-wide network architecture plan that enabled MBNA to expand and increase market share. Projects included: upgrading the data network access, distribution and core layers; integration of data, voice, and video services; expansion of network services to both domestic and international sites; comprehensive budget forecasting; and network recovery process for all systems and platforms. Also responsible for information security and online banking access for external customers and vendors, vendor management and contract negotiations with Cisco, IBM, and Nortel, as well as local and long distance carriers. MBNA had multiple mainframe and UNIX data centers that supported several regional locations in North America and Europe, including large call centers, credit card production, and partner/vendor connections.

Senior Vice-President - Network Contingency Operations - Responsible for Bank of America’s network contingency, recovery, and continuous operations teams. Managed the engineering, implementation, and operation of core SNA, ATM, Frame Relay, Wide Area, Local Area, and voice networks. Tested recovery plans for mainframe, midrange, UNIX, and Windows NT platforms. Planned, designed, and implemented work area recovery to consolidate large systems and centers to support mergers and acquisitions.

Senior Vice-President - Network Engineering/Server Gateway Engineering - Responsible for NationsBank server network operating systems nationwide. Managed senior-level engineers and project managers and was accountable for business assessments, budgeting, conceptual design, detailed project timelines, and implementation. Designed and implemented advanced recovery solutions for business critical systems. Nationwide responsibility for 1500+ UNIX, Novell, and Windows NT servers. Served as the final escalation point for resolution of operating system issues.

Vice-President - Network Contingency Planning - Responsible for NationsBank network contingency planning nationwide. Scope included: assessment, business justification, detailed budget, and plans for contingency projects. Implemented advanced network recovery solutions for NationsBank mainframe systems in a multi-center environment, which allowed for recovery within 24 hours or less. Designed and implemented network recovery systems to enable the mirroring and vaulting process for multiple data centers and branch networks.
