Imaging International 1995 to 1996

Completed a project for a major semiconductor manufacturer to remotely manage and update integrated circuit testing data on MS SQL Server database running on Windows NT. Uses serial and network interfaces and queries SQL Server across a local area network for oven test results. The application was also designed to run against Oracle 7. Reduced handling time by 50%.

Designed, coded and tested database reporting modules interfacing with Access Database and SQL Server. Also provided database reporting through Crystal Reports.

Designed, developed and tested on-line help systems for Imaging International projects including the WORDfind product line and a COLD bank management application.

Provided clients with software and system support for database management, document imaging and full-text retrieval applications.

Developed HTML documents for Imaging International’s World Wide Web site.

Provided quality assurance and specification/feature set design and review for projects.

Developed reports utilizing Crystal Reports.

HBS Systems 1990 to 1995

As a Manager of Customer Support responsibilities included employee reviews, setting departmental goals, efficient problem solving with minimum response time for accounting and inventory management issues. Also addressed system support problems as well as customer installation and training schedules, maintaining appropriate levels of in-house support staff balanced with field installation and training staff, and reporting to upper management. Reduced average customer downtime by 30%. Responsibilities also included software specification and feature set design and review, corporate training and organizing and instructing regional seminars for end user clients. Training efforts increased new-hire effectiveness by 40%. Began a quality assurance program before leaving.

As a Supervisor of Customer Support, responsibilities included maintaining optimum response time to client calls as well as supporting field Training Specialists on system problems and client questions and implementing the most efficient resolution to accounting, inventory and software/hardware issues. Responsibilities also included assisting the manager of Customer Support with organizing the training and travel schedule and maintaining adequate personnel resources in-house and in the field to provide prompt system services.

As a Training Specialist, responsibilities included installing turn-key, accounting and inventory management computer systems, providing on-site training and in-house software and hardware support.
