Direct development/execution of all benefit programs, strategies, plan design, audits, policies, benchmarking, and financial objectives, including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Life, Disability Plans as well as both Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution management & administration.
Lead initiatives focused on improving benefit trends, streamlining processes, plan costs and improving the experience for associates.
Perform audits on benefit program to ensure compliance, effectiveness, enrollment, payroll and company costs are aligned.
Maintain relationships and partner with third-party providers, actuarial experts, brokers, consultants, and legal counsel to ensure appropriate underwriting, pricing, and administration Health & Welfare programs and Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution (403b) retirement plans.
Serve as internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to management and associates related to health & welfare, leave programs as well as 403(b) and Defined Benefit Plan policies and procedures.
Provide for effective and timely communications to plan participants (i.e. associates handbooks, SPDs, SMMs, etc.) Designed, implemented, and presented Open Enrollment materials.
Direct the data process required by internal and external sources (i.e., data, open enrollment, leave of absence, etc.) with de-centralized payroll consisting of 135 different payrolls.
Develop/manage annual benefit plans budgets, monthly variance analysis, business impact analysis.
Ensure that all benefit related contracts are current, complete, accurate and compliant with governmental regulatory agencies.
Director, Benefits & Compensation Keystone Human Services 2012 to 2015
Designed compensation programs and governance guidelines with the goal to attract and retain employees while aligning with the company’s overall HR strategy. Managed and lead the implementation, oversight and maintenance of benefits programs, compensation, policies, leave plans and processes.
Served as a Subject Matter Expert to provide guidance to HR business partners in order to ensure benefits and compensation programs are delivered and managed appropriately at all Keystone locations.
Reviewed, updated, and implemented compensation structures g including job analysis, grades and ranges, market analysis, short and long term incentive compensation.
Ensured compliance with ACA and other federal/state requirements as needed. Filed required forms (5500, etc.) with support from vendor partners for health and welfare as well as retirement plans.
Worked closely with internal business partners and broker partners to track benefits spend and analyze trends for all lines of coverage, including self-funded plans.
Actively managed and spearheaded the annual open enrollment process, including all phases of renewal discussions, benefits communication plans, conducting employee meetings, etc.
Managed the 403(b) plan administration, compliance, testing as well as acted as liaison for 403(b) Administrative Committee and investment advisors.
Drive compliance and operational excellence with regard to internal & external audit requirements and Keystone policies.
Benefits & Compensation Analyst TE Connectivity 2011 to 2012
Administer entire Employee Benefit package including but not limited to Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Pension Plan, Profit Sharing, 401(k). Vendor Management, Project Management, and Funding Management included for all plans. Retiree medical, dental, and life insurance plan administration including FAS 106 reporting.
Strategize with senior management, brokers, consultants and counsel in initiating plan and/or document redesign.
Communicate benefit package changes and Open Enrollment to employees at all locations through employee meeting presentations and communication materials. Counsel regarding benefit issues.
Vendor management including plan design, testing, document changes, IRS filings, payroll transmissions, and complex issues regarding plan structure, Workers Compensation, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125 plan compliance.
