● System and test engineering support to Lockheed Martin Autonomous Systems delivery military autonomous vehicle program, AMAS (C++, VxWorks, Python)
● Developed distributed, upper-stage avionics simulator for United Launch Alliance. (LabVIEW Real-Time, FPGA)
Technical Project Manager, Orica Mining Services
Watkins, CO 2010-2013
Contributing engineer and technical project manager bringing innovation to mining through long-range R&D focused on field automation and robotics. (C/C++, Python, LabVIEW)
Engineering-Specific (Non-management) Project:
● Designed, developed, and field tested electronics and software in a solution to improve borehole fill accuracy. The control board ran bare-metal C on microcontroller to manage UI (Hitachi LED display and controls) and deliver post-processed readings from a WIKA pressure sensor.
● Designed, developed, and field tested fusion elevation sensor package for mining-specific UAV applications. The solution involved delivery of sensor data (6 DOF accelerometer + altimeter) over serial to custom, post-processor software implementing a Kalman filter to estimate latest readings.
● Maintained control logic for 20 ft tall, 7 DOF robotic arm developed by the R&D team for underground mining applications. Responsible for
(LabVIEW) FPGA improvement, communications with handheld controller, and real-time test functions.
