Use Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Computer Vision CAD, working with SolidWorks 3D and supervised engineers in development of manufacturing drawings.

Qualifications include BSME, BSEE, management experience and hands-on engineering experience. Excellent grasp of theoretical principles and a desire to continue learning. Management experience exceeds 15-years of progressive responsibility.

EXPERIENCE

Jan. ’06 to Current, Investment Manager, Bloomingdale, IL.

Education included an economics study in investments by Dunn & Bradstreet in which I did well.

I have trading accounts in four portfolios with two Brokerages which have also done well.

Investment choices are made with software, financial and economic news and being alert to economic developments.

Served as Treasurer for six-years and work with a five member financial team.

This work is my hobby and occupies my attention evenings and week-ends giving me freedom to work full time.

July 1972 to Jan ’06 Project Engineer, ITW-Signode division was sold to Carlyle Group, Glenview, IL

Managed a department of staff engineers for filling customer orders and for design of machinery to package corrugated sheet on skids. This machinery was my original design along with special conveyors to center and convey customer products.

Later, an industry realignment positioned me in the Graphic Arts department with an engineering assignment to develop high speed machinery for packaging magazines and newspapers. Here, I managed a staff of contract engineers with a shared staff of clerical personnel.

Work also included estimating machine costs, doing sales and marketing calls and customer liaison.

Jan. ‘72 to July ’72 Designer, Perfecto Engineering, Elk Grove Village, IL.

Perfecto Engineering is a manufacturer of Roll Feed Equipment used in forming sheet steel.

I was hired as a designer for development of Roll Feeds and other new mechanical products.

Left because the company relocated to Ohio; Supervisor: Mr. S. R. Almcrantz, Manager of Engineering.

Nov. ’69 to Jan. ’72 Project Coordinator, Cincinnati-Forte Company, Arlington Heights, IL

Cincinnati-Forte is a producer of Coil Processing Equipment to slit and blank steel sheet.

Responsibilities were to analyze customer orders to identify component requirements and schedule manufacturing releases.

When new equipment was required I would provide the design or supervise its design through a designer or draftsman.

Company sold to Cincinnati Shaper and moved to Ohio; Supervisor: Mr. D. J. Rogalla, Vice President, Engineering.
