I developed my skills in Indesign and Illustration and understanding of brand identity. I honed my skills in developing motion graphic reels and creating ideas in response to art work briefs in the corporate setting.

My responsibilities here were general design for posters and promotional needs as well as developing a logo for one of their campaigns. Interestingly I also took on administrative duties where I was required to practice my written and oral presentation skills.

I learnt about magazine layout, imaging and text composition within the fashion industry as well as gaining experience in website artwork.

Freelance Work (SEPT 2011 - Present)

Studio Bayo OCT 2014 - Present (www.studiobayo.com) Since graduating from University in September 2011, I have produced, motion graphics, illustrations and graphic design pieces on a freelance basis in between longer contract positions. This extended from branding, logo creation and illustrative design for small businesses. In October 2014 I formalised this by creating my company 'Studio Bayo'. It started with a unique concept of African art inspired greeting cards for corporate and individual clients. I have since expanded to incorporate motion graphics, illustrative concepts, illustrative portraits, logos and branding development under the umbrella of Studio Bayo as a design studio. Apart from the artistic side I have developed essential skills in generating business, marketing, time management, financial overview and organising cash flow within the business. Working at the TV station I produced 6 different types of interstitials based on upcoming new stories and current events - this involved mostly motion graphics and picture compositing. The main categories were "Images of the Day", "What the Papers say" and "Twitter" reels. Additionally I was responsible for producing interactive banners and info graphics during the 'News' and 'Business' segments.
