AMERICAN EXPRESS – Plantation, FL August 2005 – March 2009

Was Promoted To Project Analyst. Took It Upon Myself To Also Become Quality Analyst & Editor For Department (Stateside & Overseas)

Promoted to Project Analyst. Took it upon myself to be the Quality Analyst & Editor in Training Department at American Express. Supported several databases throughout their various stages such as: testing with Information Technologies (IT), implementing across our sites (U.S. and Int'l). Assisted training at all sites, following-up with issues, troubleshooting errors, working as liaison between sites, IT Technologies, HR, Learning & Development, Sales & Marketing, other Business Units, Departments, etc. Documented new procedures and created reporting to distribute to Senior Level Executives to follow trending.

Responsible for streamlining efforts to save money, time and resources. Was selected and won the Re-Engineering Project which was very high-profile due to the importance of obtaining a G1 Rating for our Department, which was a must! Worked on Re-Engineering Projects that saved our Learning & Development Department over $547,000 (I did this in 3 months but allotted 6 months) which in turn brought our Site to Number One G1 Rating (G1 from G3 Rating) which in turn meant we met our goals & awarded bonuses for Department!

Was responsible for giving End-Users access and maintaining databases. Created enhancements / modifications for next phase of databases. Followed-up with sites to ensure proper use which would impact the integrity of information for reporting purposes. Worked with Teams across the world on a daily basis to make certain deadlines were met at each Site. Very detail-oriented, deadline driven, able to create new processes to streamline efforts and drive change. Created, documented, implemented and taught new processes with follow-up and/or troubleshooting. Worked on multiple projects at once, built very strong networking with my Sites across the globe, able to gain buy-in and influence others at all levels. Extremely self-motivated and driven.

AMERICAN EXPRESS – Plantation, FL June 2003 – August 2005 (2005 Promoted)

Business Analyst. Took it upon myself to become Recruiter for American Express.

As Business Analyst, was responsible for paying New Hire Reps and Team Leaders their monthly incentives. Created / Maintained Reporting for Rep and Team Leader pay weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly. Responsible for creating / maintaining / reporting Rep and Team Leader pay year vs. year, top producers, top sales, top pay, top products, etc. Won award for streamlining various reporting and processes across multiple databases so Department could save money, time and resources. Was responsible for tracking and reporting attrition for the New Hires for our Plantation, FL office. Reporting for attrition, what I saw trending, what I saw as “need to watch – could become critical”, forecasting vs. actual monthly, yearly, etc. All my reporting was for the very Executive Levels of American Express.

Was responsible for creating and implementing excellent strategy to solve issue for Sr. Level Executives. Their issue was “how to increase New Hires without adding Recruiters or adding to budget”? I presented my idea to open it up to Internal Band 30s who would want to volunteer their time to assist with interviews, Job Fairs On & Off-Site. The rule was that we each Internal had to keep up with our FT work and not say that we didn’t meet deadlines because Recruiting was taking too much time. I presented the Program to Sr. Level Executives, they approved and it worked tremendously!

FIRST DATA MERCHANT SERVICES – Coral Springs, FL August 1990 – June 2003 Senior Business System's Analyst

Worked for First Data for 13 years in the IT Systems Department. Was liaison from IT Systems to Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, all Business Units, etc. Lead projects from analysis to post-implementation. Created and maintained reports used for Senior Executives on weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly basis. Responsible for troubleshooting various database issues across the Sites. Worked with End Users to assist with database issues and developed database shortcuts to be implemented in next phases of database enhancements.

Awarded for quickly learning new database, recommending re-engineering old database to save significant amount of money. Recommended modify / enhance several areas of old database to accommodate new procedures we needed for our Department. Saved over $100,000 by not having to pay for new database – we just re-engineered what we had. Presented idea to Executives, they approved / allowed me to put together my own Team of IT professionals and myself. We discussed options to implement ideas I recommended. Worked with all IT Team Members to meet very strict deadline. I put together “Test Team” in our location to see if bugs to fix, help with troubleshooting. Once FL “Test Team” was working 100%, I implemented the new database and training to FL office. Then watched for any issues to fix. I followed this procedure for each site at First Data. This way I could control the implementation, troubleshooting and training. After it was implemented, I took over the database along with my other projects and introduced it to all New Hires, gave them access and trained them on the new database. It was a great success!
