Oversight of a bulk distribution Terminal for the world's largest single kiln cement plant.

Responsible for shipments totaling 3.50M tons per year by barge, rail, and truck.

Wrote and standardized all job safety analysis' for work procedures in the terminal.

Directly responsible Payroll and Manpower scheduling as well performance reviews for personnel.

Implemented safety practices to comply with MSHA standards.

Project Manager from design to installation of a barge haul winch system that decreased time between loading barges.

Lead role in maintenance planning and daily shipment planning.

Terminal Operations Manager Sept 2004-Jan 2008

Oversight of a bulk distribution Terminal. This is one of only three deep water terminals Lehigh Cement has on the east coast.

Project Manager on a 700K replacement of dust collection equipment.

Acted as the general contractor on the Railcar Unloading retrofit resulting in a cost saving of 63K for the overall project.

Directly responsible for all AP, P&L, Payroll and Manpower scheduling.

Have completed Quality Management Classes and Total Quality Advantage Programs.

Implemented safety practices to comply with OSHA and MSHA standards.

Created Lehigh Cement Forklift Certification Program now in use for all Lehigh North Division Terminals

Warehouse Manager May 2001 – Jan 2004

USF Logistics Colonial Heights, VA / St. Louis, Mo.

$2.25 billion group of companies that provide comprehensive and innovative supply-chain management solutions.

Recruited as first person hired for new 250,000 sq. ft. food grade warehouse in support of customer, Sara Lee Coffee &Tea. Challenged to layout space, setup systems, hire/train staff and select outside vendors in just 60 days.

Worked closely with corporate engineers to design and implement effective layout. Installed equipment to support access to JD Edwards system integrated with Intermec Scanners.

Hired and trained 48 staff for 3-shift operation.

Established procedures and performance standards for order selecting, accuracy, picking/loading and quality assurance. Met 60-day deadline and exceeded all service level goals. Achieved approximately 95% on-time delivery against a goal of 84%.

Held position of Quality Manager and earned scores of 915, 945, and 960 (out of 1,000) from American Institute of Bakers (AIB) versus company averages of 880.

Created automated forecasting system to effectively schedule labor resulting in 20% reduction in overtime.
