Electronics Technician

Performed critical repairs of HF, UHF and VHF transmitters/transceivers during a major disruption of power and worked to resolution more than eight casualties to major communications systems in a 24 hour period. Awarded Navy Achievement Medal for the accomplishment.

Resolved numerous preventive and corrective maintenance issues as work center supervisor for the Electronics Repair Division in preparation for a shipboard maintenance and logistics inspection. Awarded a letter of commendation for the efforts that resulted in a highly successful completion of this major inspection.

Performed repairs on numerous electronic and electrical systems (AC and DC motors, radio systems, Analog/Digital etc.). Experience with schematics, wiring diagrams and troubleshooting methodology. Worked daily with multiple types of electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, AC /DC voltmeters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Managed the researching, maintaining and ordering of repair parts for the Electronic Repairs Division. A position of great responsibility and vital to equipment and shipboard readiness.
