Professional Experience

PSEG Services Corporation, Newark & Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations, NJ

Lead Consultant – Infrastructure and Engineering – IT Department, 2004 – 2016

Lead projects involving the design and installation of Integrated Digital Networks providing technical support to assist IT Management personnel to resolve difficult/complex problems.

Nuclear Site Communications WiFi Project; developed, configured and coordinated the implementation of a major WiFi installation with over 600 indoor and outdoor Access Points, over 50 network switches and large scale wireless controllers to enabled workers at three (3) nuclear facilities to conduct day-to-day and outage related activities more efficiently using wireless network computing devices and Voice Over IP (VoIP) telephones.

Nuclear Core Switch Upgrade Project; designed and coordinated the replacement of Nuclear’s 2 Gb/s topology with a 40 Gb/s core ring topology using NEXUS 7000 and 5000 switches to meet and exceed the anticipated day-to-day and outage related bandwidth requirements at three (3) nuclear facilities.

Nuclear SONET Campus Ring Project; designed, configured and installed an OC12 SONET fiber optic campus ring topology network to allow critical communication circuits’ building-to-building connectivity to Emergency facilities around the nuclear campus.

Services Life Cycle Project; configured numerous network routers and switches at PSEG Nuclear and at several PSEG facilities.

Developed a Visio Drawing data base to document PSEG entire network design consisting of over two thousand (2,000) network devices.

Coordinated/modified new/existing FCC/FAA licenses and developed the infrastructure radio drawing for PSEG Nuclear’s entire radio network.

Nuclear Digital UHF/VHF Radio Communications Project; under tight time constants, developed the system design strategy and coordinated the effort for the installation of a new conventional radio communications system providing internal radio coverage and additional channels to three (3) Nuclear Generating Stations - received a ‘Special Achievement Award’.

Services Digital Microwave Replacement Project, development the RFP, the microwave channel plan and coordinated ongoing installation/construction efforts including equipment cutover activities for 26 microwave radios into the production environmental providing faster speed and increase bandwidth to clients.

Consultant/Project Manager – Infrastructure Solution Group – IT Department, 1998–2004

Provided a high level of consulting expertise to clients using various corporate network services and prepared business case solutions for IT products.

Designed the fiber optic connectivity plan as a precondition for the installation of PSEG Nuclear’s ‘Token Ring Replacement Project’ by replacing PSEG Nuclear’s antiquated token ring network with giga speed Ethernet Networks enabling over 2,100 personal computers users to increase productivity and efficiency

Developed the system design strategy and coordinated the effort for the successful implementation of PSEG Nuclear’s Radio Communications Upgrade Project (RCUP). This five (5) channel 900 MHz Trunk Radio System provided a reliable radio communications system. with improved radio coverage.

Key team member of ‘PSE&G’s Integrated Digital Network Exchange (IDNX) Equipment Replacement Project’, developed and managed the WAN Redesign Plan to achieve the relocation of over 4,500 voice, data and trunk circuits from 45 individual IDNX nodes to 14 new Cisco Stratacom High Speed Cell Switches.

Principal Staff Engineer/Project Manager – Telecommunications Group, 1992–1997

Recommended and implemented network technology to support evolving business applications.

Designed and managed Corporate Radio strategy operation of PSE&G’s ‘Corporate Radio System’. The multi-year, 28 million dollar, twenty (20) Channel Simulcast 900 MHz Trunked Radio System consisted of a Prime Radio Site, a Redundant Prime Radio Site, and ten (10) remote radio sites that enables the Company to carry out daily electrical operation activities for over 5000 users/company vehicles, resulting in increase productivity and efficient energy services to customers.

Education Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the City University of New York
