Job Description

Obtaining baseline database such as personal information, chief complaints, vital signs monitoring, present and past history of illnesses, etc.

Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements

Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocol

Assisting patient to laboratory procedures and referral of results to attending physician.

Assisting physician to physical examination, minor surgical operations, and medical procedures like Intubation, insertion of Foley catheter etc.

Preparing and giving medications through different routes as per doctor’s order

Intravenous insertion and intravenous push.

Cleans and bandages wounds

Documentation and charting. (Admitting orders, discharged planning, health teaching.)

Maintains proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment to care for patients.
