The research is mainly initiated to analyse whether the improvement techniques such as benchmarking, value chain analysis, six sigma methods, five force analysis, and root cause analysis shows any further changes in maximising its efficiency for performance improvement. The detailed methodologies for each method explain and helps how defects can be reduced or eliminated while operation depending upon situation.

Worked for main project team to design a semi-automatic loading system for centre pivot pin for a bogie at Integral Coach Factory (Indian Railways, Chennai – India). The pin is a part which is assembled during wheeling. This pin connects the bogie frame and bogie. Manual labour is involved for the hoist of pin which includes a high risk of danger. To enable the hoist of pin, a semi- automatic machine was designed that helps to avoid the stress and strain of workers, reduce time of operation in hoisting the pin.

Worked with design and fabrication project team that designed a V-belt driven pulley on earth furnace at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering (Tamil Nadu, India). The existing system of the furnace was operated by man power. So in order to reduce manual operation and its supplementary disadvantages like to reduce fatigue of workers, to reduce work load, to increase system efficiency, the new set up was considered.
