About Me

Raised in Plainfield/Killingly area, Plainfield with my mother and Killingly with my father. Brought up with a father in manufacturing, step father in trucking, grandfather was a general contractor/master carpenter, three uncles, one in mechanics, second in excavation/diesel mechanic and the last a rental property owner who performed most his own repairs so needless to say I was raised in a very strong mechanically inclined family and the same was instilled in me too. I followed suite and pursued the automotive field but unfortunately I was not smart and decided to return to Plainfield High only to leave there a year later and graduate from Eastconn. I was a rebellious teen and had a tendency to bounce from job to job but shortly after reaching my 20s I smartened up and finally landed a good paying steady job at International Paper of Putnam, CT. I was there for a little over five years and showed potential to move up and was working towards learning all machines in my department and becoming department operator but I got injured on the job and it was my own fault it happened and they had to let me go. Shortly after that my father had a severe heart attack so I flew out to Arizona, where he lives now, to take care of him. I returned a few months later only to not have much success finding work until finally a friend started his own construction company and I worked for him for the next two years. In the meantime I had reconnected with my high school sweetheart and a year later we were expecting a beautiful little girl and bought a duplex. I had to find something steady again so I got a job with Bob’s Discount Furniture Warehouse in Taftville, CT as a customer pick up associate. A month later I heard of the maintenance technician job opening and with my automotive background and years of construction and mechanical background I jumped on it, getting it once I got past my 90 day probationary period hoping for better wages and a possible career but that has not panned out for me and not for the lack of me working hard and learning a new trade either. So I again am on the search for a new job that can hopefully become a career as I need this to help support my fiancé, her three amazing kids and our now four month daughter.
